Varouzhan
Nazaretian was born the son of repatriates
on March 5, 1957 in Tashkent, capitol of Uzbekistan. Since 1958,
Varouzhan has resided in Yerevan, Armenia. Varouzhan is happily
married and has three children. He speaks fluent Armenian and Russian
and is proficient in English. His loving father is now retired and
resides in the U.S. In
1974, he graduated from Yerevan high school #132 and continued
to pursue his studies at the Yerevan Veterinary Institute. After
working for about two years as veterinary specialist, he began
to seriously pursue his life long passion for photography and
art, following in his father's footsteps.
Varouzhan
worked as an editor of the photo advertisement department of the
Armenian Government Cinematography, issuing photos advertisements
for cinemas, designed posters, placates, drafted and critiqued
movies, actors, and directors. While maintaining his photography
career, Varouzhan began working as a journalist and press-photographer
in press media and simultaneously made two personal photography
exhibitions. Some of the works on display at the exhibition have
been published in photography catalogs.
His
natural talent and love for art are obvious in this collection
compiled by ArmeniaGuide.com. This large photo gallery showcases
many remote areas of Armenia that are not frequently photographed.
He
is a proud member of the Union of Photo Artists of Armenia, The
Union of Journalists of Armenia, and the Yerevan Press-Club. He
also worked as the Head of Department of International News Observations
of official daily newspaper "Republic of Armenia".
